Artform Urban Furniture were asked to supply a mixture of standard and bespoke Artform Urban Furniture Metalco Big Harris benches for a new campus development at Bath Spa University.
The stylish Harris range of tropical hardwood seating provides large seating monoliths at surprisingly good value and is one of our most popular seating ranges with complimentary street furniture also available to provide a coordinated approach to landscaping.
Outcome
Through discussions with the Illman Young Landscape Design, Artform Urban Furniture produced an adapted Metalco design to accommodate DDA compliance by incorporating a back rest and arm rests to 30% of the seating. The seating was intended to sit over recessed lighting points to make these a feature element of the terrace and non-standard colours were incorporated to provide consistency to surrounding buildings.
