SOLID Round Bench Details
SOLID combines the rustic, raw look of cement ring with innovative new urban space design giving the outdoor space a whole new look that is bound to attract attention. SOLID was Red Dot Design Award Winner in 2009. Lars Vejen was behind the award-winning, simple and extremely elegant design of this bench from HITSA for the outdoor setting.
The SOLID Bench is an extremely elegant bench for urban spaces. And the elegance is achieved not least of all through the use of very few components.
Even the socle itself is made of hot-dip galvanised steel, which fits in well and looks good in an urban area. The seat is made of FSC®-certified mahogany, which gives the bench its attractive appearance. The warm wood also makes the seating experience more comfortable for the user.
To emphasise the idea of nature in the SOLID Bench, you could place your bench near a planted tree. The SOLID Bench is available with or without spaces for planting.
When the SOLID Bench is placed in a bustling urban space, it is not inconceivable that the lovely clean surface of the socle could tempt someone to add their own embellishments to the furniture. Such as graffiti. We’ve also thought of that.
