The LINK Table and Chair Set fulfils many functions and shapes: modules can be linked together, allowing to create different larger configurations and shapes, inspiring people to meet and interact in public areas and or allowing to enjoy a few quiet moments on their own.
Do you want to sit together or apart? Face to face or back to back? Several unique spaces and options can be created.
Flexibility in use is matched by the simplicity of the construction itself: a module consists of two frames of flattened steel and ten slats, made of oil-treated, FSC®-certified mahogany (virtually maintenance-free).
Mahogany in time can be treated with oil again, or instead left untreated to acquire an attractive grey patina.
The flattened steel is hot-dip galvanised, protecting the structure from rust, and giving its attractive slightly raw look.
The concept used for LINK by AART Designers was to draw the learning environment out of indoor classrooms to the open air ones, creating new and inspiring ways of teaching in a flexible and functional environment.
